About the Country Garden Room
Located on the grounds of Bakers' Acres, the Garden Room is next door to our greenhouses. It offers a relaxed, country atmosphere which accommodates up to 50 people. Our outdoor pavilion seats up to 100 people. From our outdoor terrace surrounded by planters filled with herbs and edible flowers, you can see our display gardens, growing fields and apple orchard. The Garden Room is also an ideal place to hold weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthday or anniversary parties or any special occasion you may have.
Our menu offers many of our own homegrown or locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables. They are all delicately flavored with our own fresh herbs and creatively decorated with edible flowers.
One of our specialties at the Garden Room is Bob's Chicken Barbecue. "Bob" is Professor Robert Baker, creator of the famous Cornell Barbecue Sauce for chicken barbecues

Bob Baker's Chicken Barbecue
|
|
Bob developed this popular chicken barbecue sauce recipe many years ago when
he was asked to prepare a festive meal for a very large crowd. Naturally, being a professor
of Poultry Science, he chose chicken. His added expertise as a food scientist helped create
both a simple recipe and method of preparation. Because of Bob's 39-year affiliation with
Cornell this barbecue sauce is often called Cornell Barbecue Sauce. We're sure you'll find it to be delicious.
